#Nanowrimo Day 4: Slowing down a bit

After a tremendous first 2 days, I’ve been busy the last couple of days and not getting a lot of words in. Yesterday 1200, and today 600. That’s not stellar, but thanks to my early sprint, I’m still ahead of the game.

As this is my first Nano, it’ll be interesting to put it away for a bit and then see how much editing it needs.

In the spirit of Nano, I came across this article on Bustle: (via Passive Guy’s daily publishing news round-up):
8 Best-Selling Books Written During NaNoWriMo That Show You It Can Be Done

I loved several of these books, esp. The Night Circus. Here’s the list if you don’t want to click:

1. The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
2. Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen
3. The Beautiful Land by Alan Averill
4. Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
5. Wool by Hugh Howey
6, 7, and 8. Cinder, Scarlet and Cress by Marissa Meyer

About Gina Storm Grant

I'm a writer and now, a newbie upcycler. I have 12 books published under 2 pen names. I've taken a 2-year hiatus from writing while I re-purposed my life, but the more I rescue furniture destined to become landfill, the more I feel inspired to write a new book. After all, I gotta do something while waiting for the next coat of paint to dry. Stick with me while I figure out the differences between chalk, milk and mineral paints, which stripper removes shellac and sticky stuff, and whether I want to do stencils, tansfers or decoupage. Oh, and which one is the drill and which the power screwdriver.
