A blood donor cat? Did you know there was such a thing?

In her post here, My New Flatmate, local writer pal Tina Christopher talks about how she’s fostering a blood donor cat for the local emergency vet clinic.
She’ll have to take it in a few times a year to donate, but if I understand correctly, the vet picks up all the cat’s medical expenses. So if you’re thinking of getting a cat, you might want to inquire at your local vet hospital if they offer that sort of program.

They probably have dogs, too.
