2 Dogs named Billy!

We adopted a new dog today–a little hound-esque guy who’s supposed to be 10 years old but really seems younger. He has rotten teeth, a sweet personality, and a full vet appointment tomorrow.

Because he was a stray, and he’s only been Billy for 4 months, and our other dog has been Billie for 10 years, we decided to give the new arrival a new name. Since I’m stepping away from the Storm Grant pen name for a while, we decided to give it to the dog, instead.

So meet the new Storm Grant!

Welcome Billy! I mean, Stormy!  Toronto-20120913-00080
And just so she doesn’t get jealous, here’s the original Billie,
who isn’t quite sure about her new pack-mate.

About Gina X. Grant

Gina X. Grant writes ingenious plotlines with twists, turns and sometimes magic. She is represented by Rosemary Stimola, the agent who also represents the Hunger Games series. Gina’s RELUCTANT REAPER trilogy is available from Simon and Schuster’s Pocket Star imprint. She lives in Toronto, Canada, just blocks from the house she grew up in. She’s married to a friendly curmudgeon from a mining town in Northern Ontario. They have one rescued hound, Storm, named for Gina’s other pen name. Storm Grant—the writer, not the hound dog—writes engaging action adventure with two heroes. Since 2007, she has published with a variety of e-publishers and more recently, self-publishes. Gina’s and Storm’s books are available at all your favorite etailers, such as Amazon, Kobo and iTunes. Visit ginaXgrant.com or stormgrant.com to find out more.

Congratulations! Storm looks very cute. I hope the vet appointment goes well and Billie gets used to her new mate.

  2. Hooray! So glad Billie has a new friend and Storm has a forever home!

  3. Storm looks like he’s brewing trouble. Have fun with your new edition/addition.

  4. What a sweet little guy. Was he a stray you found or one that you picked out from an agency?

    • We registered with agencies, filled out applications, and visited several humane societies around southern Ontario. Then Mr. Grumpy found this little guy on the Toronto Animal Services website. (the dog pound). He’d been a stray brought in with another dog they assumed was his brother. The brother got adopted right away but Storm’s been caged since June! They say he’s 10 and that put people off. I think he’s younger. Seeing the vet tonight for a professional opinion. ;-D
