Go see Abe kill vamps, but don’t expect teh LoLz

Saw Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter last night with tinachristopher. I loved it. Best action-y movie with a “wish I’d thought of that” premise since Cowboys & Aliens.

Despite the action-filled trailer, I expected humor, based on the premise, and having enjoyed Seth Grahame-Green’s entertaining Pride, Prejudice & Zombies.

So thanks st_crispins for her recent non-spoilery review (flocked, so no linkage), giving a heads-up that it was not funny. Not supposed to be funny.

Do NOT go in expecting humor. This is an action flick like Die Hard. In fact, Mary Todd is played by a Die Hard alumni.

Sure there are plot holes, but c’mon. Abraham Lincoln frees the slaves AND kills zombies. Awesome.
