God is Margaret Atwood’s Editor ;-D

Margaret Atwood is the keynote speaker at this year’s San Miguel Writer’s Conference. I find it ironic that I had to come all the way up to the Mexican mountains to hear a woman speak who lives in the next district over from mine. o.0

I just got in from hearing her keynote. She’s a terrific speaker. Very funny. Except the last few minutes when she was appropriately serious about the state of the world. Just when she spoke about the murder of journalists in Mexico who dare speak out about this country’s corruption, a great peal of thunder crashed over the lecture hall.

She stopped, gave a wry little smile, pointed at the ceiling and said, “I love punctuation.”
