Poor puppies…and Billie makes 3!

Remember Hobbes, the dog we were looking after over Christmas and how he sliced his foot New Year’s Eve? He had to be sedated and stitched up.

Remember our old dog, Jazzy, and how she exploded a cyst on her front leg January 3rd? She had to be bandaged from toe to shoulder.

Yesterday, our younger dog, Billie, caught her back toe nail in the fence trying to reach a squirrel that was a good 20 feet away. Nine years we’ve had her and she’s never done this before. So back to the vet yesterday morning: Hobbes had his stitches removed and pronounced okay to return to his home, Jazzy had her elbow-length evening glove bandage cut off, the wound filled with some sort of healing power, and pronounced okay to go to our house.

We had to leave Billie so she could be sedated and have the broken nail trimmed away and bandaged.

We’re now $1000 poorer. In one week. Yikes!
